SR Engineering College is under the process of establishment of IBM Center of Excellence. Good number of trainings on IBM tools and certifications are going on and also other activities are planned for the faculty and students since last academic year.

TGMC Workshops

SREC has conducted 3 one day Student workshops on IBM tools. Mr.Siddique, Mr.Somnath, Mr.Ratnam has visited our college and interacted with faculty and students.

4 days certification program on RAD. Mr.Vinod, visited SR campus and conducted RAD Certification course for faculty and students. students.

3 days certification program on DB2. Mr.Ratnam and Mr.Vaibhav were the resource persons for DB2 certification program.

Our Ability

Workshop on DB2 held recently, 76 Students & 4 faculty got certified on 9-Aug-2011. 100 Students and 4 faculty were RAD Certified. In the year 2009 to 2010, for TGMC 2009 600+ students got registered for TGMC and 4 Teams were selected for face to face round. 450+ students got registered. Among which 2 teams were selected for TGMC 2010 for face to face evaluation round.

News of CoE in SREC

SREC has already taken an initiation for the establishment of IBM Center of Excellence. Good number of students are participating in The Great Mind Challenge Contest. Around 180 students are certified under IBM RAD And DB2. Many more trainings and certifications are planned for IBM tolls like Tivoli, Lotus etc.,
